Jimmy Cohoat is an Executive Vice President of Industrial Advisory Services at Colliers | Indianapolis. Since joining the firm in 2014 he has represented clients in transactions exceeding $1.7 billion. Jimmy is a recipient of the firm’s “Peak Performance” Brokerage award for Indianapolis office in recognition of strong production as well as contributions to the office’s industrial team initiatives. He was the top Industrial Producer in the Indianapolis office in 2018 and in the top 10% of Producers for Colliers nationally, earning him recognition in the firm’s Everest Club.

Prior to joining the firm, Jimmy worked in public accounting with one of the big four accounting firms, Deloitte. Serving in the audit practice, Jimmy acquired and perfected project management and financial analysis skills while managing quarterly and annual audits of both publicly traded and privately held companies. These valuable experiences enable him to better understand how all decisions can affect a company’s bottom line.

Jimmy is a graduate of Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management, earning a degree in accounting while also obtaining his Certificate of Advanced Accountancy.

He is an active volunteer at Cathedral High School and also works to support the local Evans Scholarship Programs.

Andrea Hopper, SIOR

Executive Vice President

  • I’m a mother of 2 busy athletes – you can find me most weekends in a basketball gym or at a softball/baseball diamond.
  • My hobbies include golf, Indy Car Racing, MLB, interior design and traveling with my family.
  • I’m involved in my local community – a Leadership Hendricks County alum and member of the Hendricks Co. Property Tax Advisory Board of Appeals.

Andrea Hopper is an Executive Vice President of Industrial Advisory Services at Colliers | Indianapolis. Andrea is part of the high- profile Indy Industrial Advisory Team — Jimmy Cohoat SIOR, Andrea Hopper SIOR, Billy Powers, ​ Jason Speckman SIOR, and Tyler Wilson SIOR. This Team delivers expertise in all phases of industrial real estate, including site selection, development & design, and represented landlords, tenants, and developers both locally and across the country.

Over the past 24 years, Andrea has completed more than 1,000 transactions totaling over 35 MSF ― as well as over 1,000 acres of land slated for industrial development. Andrea is a recipient of the Peak Performance Brokerage award in recognition of strong production as well as contributions to the office’s industrial team initiatives.

Andrea has extensive experience assessing and negotiating lease transactions as well as identifying land sites for future industrial development. A key strength is her ability to fully assess both a client’s project-specific requirements, plus the long-term growth strategy, to develop and execute plans to address the dual critical paths.

Andrea began her real estate career in brokerage, specializing in industrial services and worked as part of a Corporate Services Group. She then stepped over to the developer side, working for institutional owners such as First Industrial and Prologis. At Prologis, she served as Market Representative for Indianapolis and co- managed a 55-building portfolio totaling 10.5 MSF with over 200 tenants.

Andrea is actively engaged in diverse community efforts, including Leadership Hendricks County and Dress for Success- Indianapolis.

Billy Powers

Associate Vice President

  • I played on the Basketball and Volleyball teams at Wabash College.
  • Outside of spending time with my family, I love coaching youth sports (30+ teams and counting).
  • I married my high school sweetheart and we have 3 kids.

Billy Powers is an Associate Vice President of Industrial Advisory Services at Colliers | Indianapolis. Billy is part of the high- profile Indy Industrial Advisory Team — Jimmy Cohoat SIOR, Andrea Hopper SIOR, Billy Powers, Jason Speckman SIOR, and Tyler Wilson SIOR. This Team delivers expertise in all phases of industrial real estate, including site selection, development & design, and represented landlords, tenants, and developers both locally and across the country. ​

Prior to joining Colliers, Billy has had extensive experience in servicing high value clients in the supply chain and distribution industries. His responsibilities ranged from design solutions to multiphase project installations and implementations. Billy has worked with hundreds of clients to develop custom solutions totaling over $100 million in material handling equipment and packaging supplies. This experience provided a front-row seat understanding of the supply chain users and their facility challenges & requirements.

Billy is a graduate of Wabash College with a major in Economics. At Wabash, he was very active on campus and a member of the Men’s Basketball and Volleyball Teams. He and his wife have three children enjoy spending time with family and friends.

 

Jason Speckman, SIOR

Jason Speckman is an Executive Vice President of Industrial Advisory Services at Colliers | Indianapolis. This Team delivers expertise in all phases of industrial real estate, including site selection, development & design, landlord representation, tenant representation as well as acquisitions and dispositions.

Since 2011, he has closed over 2,000 transactions exceeding $1.3 billion in value. For 12 years, Jason and his team have earned the firm’s “Most Transactions” award. Additionally, Jason has twice earned the firm’s “Largest Transaction” award and “Top Associate Producer” award.

Jason’s key strengths are his ability to thoroughly assess needs and implement plans to exceed clients’ goals. He possesses exceptional communication, collaboration and analytical skills, which have proven successful toward building and sustaining client relationships; collaborating on marketing strategies for key assignments; consulting with and advising private and institutional clients; managing long-term transactions; and representing institutional real estate portfolios.

He is actively engaged in various community efforts. Jason is Past President of Leadership Hendricks County’s Board of Directors- He also chaired its Resource Development Committee. Jason has served as Admission Chair for SIOR, Indiana/Kentucky Chapter and is also a past Board Member of NAIOP Indiana Chapter..

Tyler Wilson, SIOR

Senior Vice President

  • I enjoy any activity on the water – fishing, wake surfing, boating, and I was certified in scuba diving at the age of 15!

Before advancing into brokerage, Tyler led the firm’s market research department, creating the foundation for what has become his key service differentiator ― a commanding market knowledge. Tyler’s ability to thoroughly assess his clients’ needs and implement strategies to exceed their overall objectives has proven successful toward building and sustaining long-term relationships. When not advising clients or closing deals, Tyler devotes his time to his wife and two children. His family enjoys taking vacations, being outdoors, and anything that involves being on the water.

 

Sydney Gabriel

Sydney’s role is quite diverse — she oversees the marketing & leasing processes for nearly 100 of the team’s flex buildings. When not showing properties, negotiating leases, or interacting with her clients, her role includes management of her team’s expanding property database and assisting the team in pitching new business opportunities.

Since joining the team in 2016, Sydney’s brokerage team has earned Colliers Indianapolis “Most Transactions” award for 8 consecutive years. Sydney has been instrumental in the transactional process of over 1,300 deals — over $1 billion total gross deal value —and the marketing of 150+ listings.

Her personal strengths include delivering creative solutions and being intuitive and responsive to stakeholders’ needs. Clients value her reliability and the flexibility her role provides – as well as her ability to juggle multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines, all while providing top tier customer service.

Prior to joining Colliers, Sydney was a Project Coordinator at Tangram, a non- profit for adults with disabilities. Prior to that, she enjoyed invaluable internships with Special Olympics and Riley Children’s Foundation.

In her free time, she loves to read, cook, exercise, cheer on the Butler Bulldogs, and taking pottery classes at the Indianapolis Art Center.

Hannah Nichols is a Client Services Coordinator at Colliers | Indianapolis for the high- profile Indy Industrial Advisory Team — Jimmy Cohoat SIOR, Andrea Hopper SIOR, Billy Powers, Jason Speckman SIOR, and Tyler Wilson SIOR. This Team delivers expertise in all phases of industrial real estate, including site selection, development & design, and represented landlords, tenants, and developers both locally and across the country.

Hannah joined Colliers in 2021, beginning in a general office support role before specializing with the Indianapolis Industrial Advisory Team in 2022. Hannah’s role on her team is multifaceted – she is instrumental in the drafting and rollout of marketing campaigns for her team’s listings, assists in the transactional process, and upkeeps her team’s internal property and prospecting database.

For her team’s substantial transactional activity and listings portfolio, Hannah is able to juggle multiple ongoing projects and see them through successfully. She works closely with brokerage staff to create presentations, property marketing brochures, team branding initiatives, and market data deliverables. Her team values her flexibility to manage projects with competing priorities and deadlines and her creative approach to each assignment.

Prior to joining Colliers, Hannah was part of the Rebranding Initiative for Family Alliance, a non-profit that provides education and resources to single-parent households. She conducted extensive market research toward a complete rebranding – presenting the new look and strategy to board members and driving its rollout within her team.

In her spare time, Hannah enjoys Pilates, spending time outdoors, listening to music, and attending live theatre.
